“SHE WAS VERY NICE… STILL A VIRGIN” STATE REVEALS ALLEGED SIBIYA REMARK IN COURT
Specific details surrounding the investigation into Shadrach Sibia exposed a complex web of text messages, digital recordings, and alarming encounters in court.

Digital communication records revealed that on Saturday, 25 July 2026, ZM sent a message to Shadrach Sibia at 06:00 and immediately deleted it.
Shadrach Sibia responded at 07:48 stating: “It is so beautiful”.
He then sent a follow-up question asking: “When are you coming this side?”.
ZM replied at 08:33 stating: “Maybe next week, but I am not sure”.
Events escalated on Monday, 27 July 2026, when the father of ZM, identified as Mr. M, suffered a stabbing incident and transmitted a video of the aftermath to ZM before deleting it.
Mr. M sent that exact same video to Shadrach Sibia.
Shadrach Sibia forwarded the stabbing video back to the teenager ZM and questioned her about the situation.
ZM explained to Shadrach Sibia that her father transmitted the video files previously but deleted them.
On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, Shadrach Sibia sent a text message to ZM at 18:42 stating: “I am stressed by the commission”.
During an official police interview, ZM stated she did not understand what a commission was, but texted back: “I am sorry you are dealing with that”.
On Thursday, 6 August 2026, Shadrach Sibia appeared on the official recommendation list of the commission of inquiry into criminality, political interference, and corruption, where he previously testified in February 2026.
Investigators established that his earlier statements regarding stress demonstrated he anticipated his inclusion on the list.
When Mr. M formally reported the case involving his daughter to the police, he detailed a prior incident on 16 May 2026 involving Shadrach Sibia where a separate victim feared opening a criminal docket.
The sequence of events began on Friday, 15 May 2026, when four individuals identified as NN, MC, BQ, and O requested transport assistance from Mr. M for a planned outing.
They asked Mr. M to utilize his hotel loyalty points to pay for their lodging.
Mr. M collected NN, MC, BQ, and O from the Gautrain station using his GWM bakkie and drove them to the Sandton Garden Court hotel.
Mr. M redeemed his platinum guest card points to secure discounted accommodation rates for the group and departed once they settled into their room.
On Saturday, 16 May 2026, Mr. M spoke with the group over a phone call to arrange transport to their destination of choice.
Shadrach Sibia looked directly at the mobile phone screen of Mr. M and heard the group state they wanted to go somewhere to take beautiful pictures.
Shadrach Sibia instructed Mr. M that they should take the group to an establishment owned by his friend called the Grand, which functions as a strip club, claiming it served quality food.
Shadrach Sibia and Mr. M drove together to collect the four individuals from the hotel.
Upon arriving at the vehicle, Shadrach Sibia ordered NN, MC, BQ, and O back to their hotel room to change their clothing because his chosen destination was “classy”.
The group obeyed his instruction, and while traveling to the venue, Shadrach Sibia prohibited all four individuals from using their mobile phones in his presence.
During the drive, Mr. M referred to Shadrach Sibia as “Stho”.
Unaware of his true identity, the group searched the name “Stho” on Google while inside the vehicle but found no search results, growing uncomfortable due to his strict control.
Upon arriving at the Grand, Shadrach Sibia demonstrated familiarity with the establishment and instructed the group to claim they were celebrating the birthday of MC.
Inside the venue, Shadrach Sibia told the group to order unlimited food and supplied them with continuous alcoholic drinks, paying for all expenses himself.
The group realized the venue was a strip club only after entering, which increased their discomfort.
Following the outing, Shadrach Sibia accompanied the group back to their room at the Sandton Garden Court hotel.
Inside the room, the group asked Mr. M to identify the old man who ruined their outing, prompting Mr. M to disclose the rank and authority Shadrach Sibia held within the police force.
Shadrach Sibia subsequently entered the hotel room carrying concealed alcoholic beverages under his jacket and forced the group to play a drinking game called “dare or double dare”.
During the game, Shadrach Sibia attempted to dare to kiss NN, but Mr. M directly intervened and reminded him that the group consisted of young children.
Shadrach Sibia ignored the warning, continued supplying alcohol, and demanded that MC work for him.
When MC failed to comply due to severe intoxication, Shadrach Sibia supplied her with additional alcohol until she lost consciousness.
Both MC and NN passed out from alcohol consumption, but NN regained consciousness, felt dizzy, and began vomiting.
Two members of the group attempted to carry NN to the hotel reception area but found her too heavy.
One girl returned to the room and requested Mr. M to help transport NN to the reception desk, where they remained for 30 minutes.
Shadrach Sibia stayed behind inside the hotel room alone with MC, who remained unconscious on the bed.
Shadrach Sibia eventually exited the room, walked up to the individuals seated in the reception area, pointed at the hotel room, and declared that the girl inside was a virgin.
One of the girls confirmed that MC previously disclosed she was saving her virginity for marriage.
Shadrach Sibia stated “she is nice man” before leaving the premises.
Following discussions about the incident inside the room, Mr. M and the other girls advised MC to file a formal criminal complaint, but MC refused due to extreme fear of the law enforcement rank held by Shadrach Sibia and fear of her parents.
Shadrach Sibia was later served with a Regulation 9 notice relating to the expeditious disciplinary processes of the SAPS, scheduled to commence on 5 October 2026.
Upon his arrest, investigating officers questioned Shadrach Sibia regarding his firearm, which he claimed was locked inside a vehicle.
Officers retrieved the firearm from his car and opened a criminal case docket under Sandton CAS 553/09/2026 for contravention of the Firearms Control Act due to failure to safeguard a firearm.
On 18 September 2026, while the investigating officer and Mr. M were inside the Sandton police station converting the initial inquiry into a formal case docket, Mr. M received a direct phone call from the mobile number registered to Shadrach Sibia.
Mr. M exhibited severe distress over the unexpected call, prompting the investigating officer to record the conversation on a state mobile device with the consent of Mr. M.
During the recorded phone call, Shadrach Sibia issued direct threats to Mr. M, stating: “I have been buying groceries and giving money supporting you. The easiest person to deal with is you. But I never did that”.
Defense counsel raised legal objections in court regarding the admissibility of the audio recording under the Electronic Communications Act, arguing a third party recorded the conversation.
The court permitted the investigating officer to read from the written record while legal arguments regarding recording devices were reserved for later deliberation.
On 19 September 2026, one day after the formal docket registration, an unknown individual calling from an ID registered to Development Shikwambani phoned Mr. M, impersonating a police officer.
Mr. M recorded the call himself, in which the caller asked who opened the rape case involving MC.
Mr. M stated he did not know who opened the case and suggested it might involve a child, before the fake police officer explicitly asked: “Whose child that was raped?”.
