BREAKING: TWO MORE ACCUSED JOIN GAGASH & CHARLOTTE TIBANA IN R6M FRAUD CASE
Shocking Multi-Defendant Joinder Application Unleashes Torrent of Complex Criminal Indictments Inside High-Stakes Courtroom Setting

A tense courtroom atmosphere reached boiling point as state prosecutors stood before the bench to formally call case number F473/3 of 2026, officially setting the stage for a massive multi-party joinder.
Presiding officer Mr. Khumalo oversaw the proceedings, while the state was represented by Advocate Court, assisted by court interpreter Miss Mpho and stenographer Miss Sibi.
The dock featured accused number one, Shalate, and accused number two, Peter Nunan, although authorities noted that Peter Nunan had not been formally requisitioned for the immediate session.
Addressing the bench, the state announced that the matter appeared before the court specifically to execute a formal joinder of accused persons in terms of section 157, subsection one of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977.
The prosecution moved to formally join Shalate’s relative as accused number three, noting that the individual was not yet properly standing before the honorable court.
Furthermore, the state applied to join Jabulani Nephal Maluleke as accused number four.
In addition to individual defendants, the prosecution moved to join a corporate entity under the provisions of section 332, subsections one and two, read with section 332, subsection 10 of Act 51 of 1977.
The corporate entity was identified as Trade Enterprises Pty Ltd, represented in court by Jabulani Nephal Maluleke, which would subsequently be designated as accused number five following the granting of the application.
The state prosecutor informed the court that authorities were in possession of a highly complex and extensive charge sheet, requesting leave from the bench to read out the full indictment against the newly expanded roster of accused parties.
Before proceeding with the reading of the charges, the prosecutor prudently requested that the legal representatives for the defense confirm whether they held any objections to the section 157 joinder application, noting that reading the massive indictment would serve no purpose if contested.
Defense counsel Victoria rose to confirm her legal representation on behalf of accused number one, accused number two, and accused number three.
Mr. Khumalo interjected, instructing counsel to formally state her full name for the record since it marked her initial appearance before the court, to which Victoria explained that confusion regarding the presiding magistrate had delayed her formal introduction.
Victoria formally placed her credentials on record, confirming that she would provide physical copies to the court at the conclusion of the session and explicitly stating that the defense held no objection to the state’s section 157 joinder application.
Legal representation for accused number four and accused number five similarly addressed the court, confirming their presence and explicitly verifying that there was no objection to the joinder of the new parties.
With all defense teams offering zero resistance, Mr. Khumalo formally granted the state’s application, legally binding accused number three, accused number four, and accused number five to the ongoing prosecution alongside Shalate and Peter Nunan.
